Statera Partners LLP (, a newly launched corporate governance and shareholder engagement advisory, seeks a talented, entrepreneurial, and highly motivated Analyst. The Analyst will enjoy a unique opportunity to join a corporate advisory business in its early stages, to learn from some of the most experienced industry professionals, and play a vital role in developing and supporting all aspects of the firm’s business. 

Founded by John Dawson (former head of IR at Cadbury, ICI and Rolls-Royce and former Chairman of the Investor Relations Society) and Michael Henson (formerly a partner of Sard Verbinnen and co-founder of its UK practice), Statera will work closely with company Boards and management to provide advice on some of the more complex investor engagements around governance, remuneration, activism and strategic communications.

Client Service
• Assist in all aspects of day-to-day client engagements
• Conduct analyses of client corporate governance, investor engagement, and remuneration practices
• Develop support materials and analyses to identify likely areas of investor concern, vulnerability to shareholder activism, and potential mitigating actions
• Help develop strategies and programmes for engaging with and securing support of investors
• Support Partners in delivering advice to non-executive directors regarding a range of governance and investor relations issues

Business Development
• Support the firm’s efforts for identifying and prioritizing potential new clients
• Develop effective preparation materials for client proposals
• Work directly with Partners to develop proposal materials specifically tailored for prospective clients

Building a Strong Firm
• Research and develop materials relating to institutional investors, governance, remuneration, and shareholder activism for use with clients 
• Contribute to the firm’s intellectual leadership by supporting the development of analytical frameworks, opinion pieces, and other research materials 
• Collaborate in building a strong culture and helping to execute on key aspects of an early-stage enterprise

A successful candidate will possess the following:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with strong record of academic achievement
• 1-2 years of experience as a graduate trainee or intern
• Strong analytical skills
• Interest in corporate governance, investor relations, and financial markets 
• Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to work in small office environment
• Experience performing in-depth research and developing novel points of view
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to express complex strategies in an organized and clear manner
• Willingness to quickly achieve high proficiency in PowerPoint and proficiency in Excel, if not already obtained
• Detail oriented, highly organized and proactive approach to work
• Effective time management skills 
• Creative, innovative team player who displays sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills
• Energetic and enthusiastic approach to Statera Partners' business activities and philosophy
• Prior experience working/interning within any of the following is a plus: Asset management or brokerage firm; corporate investor relations; investor relations consultancy; investment bank / M&A; proxy advisor; law firm (corporate, M&A, and related work); other corporate advisor
