IR Society announces John Gollifer, General Manager, to step down in June 2018

John Gollifer, the General Manager of the IR Society, has advised the Board of the IR Society that he plans to retire in June 2018.

John has led the IR Society for the last 5 years. He has helped to grow the Society and expand our footprint, making the IR Society’s Certificate in IR the go-to qualification in many countries, from Asia to the Middle East and most recently, Latin America. He has also overseen other significant developments in our professional development offering, including the introduction of the DELIVER (Developing future Leaders through IR) leadership programme, now in its third iteration, and the Diploma in IR.

David Lloyd-Seed, Chair of the IR Society said, ‘On behalf of the Board and the IR Society members and partners, we wish to thank John for his considerable efforts and I’m sure we will find plenty of opportunities to show our appreciation over the coming months. We plan to undertake a robust search process for John’s successor and we are delighted to have Fidelio Partners assisting us in the search process.’

John Gollifer said, ‘Thank you for the opportunity. It has been a real pleasure and a privilege to lead the UK’s professional body for Investor Relations. It’s a great community that can only go from strength to strength. I wish you all the best.’
