Job Role 

In a newly created position - reporting to the Director of Investor Relations, our client is looking for an outstanding individual to build the strength and depth of the IR team. You will contribute to the understanding of the company by building trust and confidence within the investor community.  As a member of this high-profile team, you will be responsible for helping to implement an effective IR programme, covering the company’s capital markets communication.  

Key responsibilities 

  • Manage planning and execution of a comprehensive IR programme (debt and equity) to build a strong investor-base, including roadshows, site visits, seminars and other events
  • Develop materials, including statements, slides and speaker notes and Q&A for results and other investor presentations and ad hoc projects
  • Contribute to drafting of internal reports and analysis, including board packs
  • Work closely with Company Secretary for preparation and delivery of the Annual Report
  • Participate actively in investor meetings and roadshows globally and respond to investor queries
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with advisors including, but not limited to corporate brokers and financial communication advisers
  • Manage and develop PLC website and digital communication as a key contact point for investors
  • Keep abreast of major issues affecting the investor base to inform plans and communication; including, but not limited, to ESG developments and communication
  • Monitor peer group activity and industry best practice; contribute new ideas to the running of the Investor Relations team

Qualification and Skills

  • In-house IR experience or relevant capital markets experience (broking, buy or sell-side) including building US investor base; minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • Excellent modelling, analytical and numerical capabilities
  • Outstanding communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to write creatively and succinctly
  • Strong academic track record
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to foster relationships with peers and senior management 
  • The ability to deliver high quality work under pressure of tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to be a competitive, robust, results-orientated team player
