Taylor Maritime Investments Limited (TMI) is a leading global shipping company focused on the handysize sector, transporting basic necessity goods.  The company owns a fleet of 32 geared dry bulk ships and has further ambitions to grow.  TMI listed on the Premium Segment of the London Stock Exchange in May 2021 and with a secondary raise in July has grown rapidly to a current market cap in excess of $400m.

This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and motivated team backed by an experienced Board and advisors with a long, successful track record as they grow the market leader in this exciting sector.

Position Overview

  • Work directly with the Chief Strategy Officer to define strategy, establish and take day to day responsibility for investor relations and corporate communications function and produce/coordinate relevant monthly internal and quarterly Board reports
  • Work with our financial PR advisor to develop content/messaging and identify stakeholders across investors, media, think tanks/industry bodies and government, implementing communications plans
  • Provide support for maintaining effective engagement and communications with investor community: develop and maintain CRM system; manage IR inbox ensuring questions are followed up/escalated
  • Play a key role supporting the fundraising remit, coordinating logistics for roadshows/investor meetings, producing marketing materials with Corporate Broker, crafting Q&A, prepare investor briefing packs for the Exec Team
  • Assist in project management/production of impactful materials for market-facing events: quarterly factsheets, interim and annual reports and investor calls, and trading updates
  • Monitor company/market/industry coverage: manage relationships with analysts to drive understanding of business including query resolution, monitoring models/notes and work to expand coverage; monitor peer results and newsflow and provide insights to the Exec Team
  • Work with our website provider to manage/update the corporate website 

Background/work experience and skills

  • Strong academic track record; fluency in English
  • 7+ years of investor relations/corporate communications experience a plus or finance background
  • Strong business acumen and financial knowledge 
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, highly organized, strong verbal and written communication
  • Well-presented and outgoing individual, able to build rapport quickly with new people
  • Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Understanding of current issues in IR and capital markets, including around sustainability and ESG
