The Secret IRO
In a letter titled 'Dear Head of IR, just try to follow these three rules...', a Secret IRO on the verge of retirement offers some advice to their successor as they step up to lead the investor relations team.

IR Notebook
Tish Crawford-Jones explains how well-prepared IR teams listen early, align internally, and monitor market signals; Mathieu Joubrel explains why geopolitical events do not overcome sustainability efforts, but raise the bar instead; Richard Mellis outlines why companies that don’t engage with retail investors risk missing a valuable source of capital; and Matthew Hickman examines six pillars explaining why IROs and executive management must shape the UK’s investment narrative and attractiveness.

Letter from Romania
Dr. Daniela Maior explores how VEKTOR by ARIR has driven Romania’s corporate transparency, turning a simple benchmark into a powerful tool for market progress and governance.

Letter from Oman
The Omani market has enjoyed several years of outperforming its regional counterparts, yet still largely goes unnoticed. Ramon Pedrosa-Lopez says IR and a ‘country equity story’ could unlock its potential.

Professional development
The Society asked Jess Powell, Elnaz Ghasemi and Christine Arnild to reflect on completing the Society’s IR for Assistants and Coordinators course. Also in this section the course calendar outlines professional development opportunities from April to August 2026, and shares details on the CIR qualification.

Society events
In what has already been a busy year, Anneka Finnane outlines plans for the months ahead, including breakfasts, webinars and regional events – as well as the Society’s annual conference in June. There is also a calendar of upcoming Society events – and a recap of recent Society webinars.

Services directory
