About Informed

Informed magazine continues to be one of the most popular benefits of membership and the main reason for its enduring popularity is down to the expertise of our members! In fact, Informed was shortlisted in the Magazine of the Year category in two separate industry awards programmes in 2025!

Each issue of the magazine includes Society and industry news, the IR Notebook (a collection of topical articles) and one or two special features. 

Submit an article

Most of the content for Informed is provided by Society members, either working in-house as members of IR teams or working for the many companies who support and advise IR teams. All the articles are written from a topic-based, thought leadership perspective, which helps to keep the content balanced and impartial. 

Anyone can contribute to Informed at any time, although we do prioiritse content from Society members. If you have an idea for an article, a series of articles or a special feature, please do get in touch. If you are interested in submitting an article we ask for a brief synopsis of your planned article, so that we can avoid similar content, and whether it will be one or two pages. A one-page article is approx. 600 words and a two-page article is approx. 1,400 words (or 1,000 words plus graphics). Once we receive the article our publisher will set it into the house style and send you a proof for approval. Please also supply a hi-res photo of the author, along with their name, job title and email address.
