A roundtable event hosted by CDR Consultancy (CDR), in partnership with the Investor Relations Society, bringing together senior communications and IR leaders from listed companies to address a central question: how do you ensure your narrative is accurately represented across AI platforms?

The session will explore how AI-driven search is reshaping how listed companies are discovered and understood by investors, analysts, journalists and other stakeholders—and the implications for capital markets as corporate narratives move beyond company-controlled channels.Tom Symondson, our leading expert in digital reputation and AI-driven brand strategy at Accordience Group, will lead an interactive discussion, sharing practical guidance on how IR and communications teams can assess and strengthen their “AI footprint”—from identifying gaps to improving how corporate content is surfaced, and enhancing visibility, accuracy and control in an evolving AI-driven landscape.

The session will explore:

  • How AI platforms (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude) source and surface information on listed companies and the Variations across models and prompts, and the implications for consistency of messaging and reputation

  • The extent to which corporate websites, annual reports and disclosures are reflected in AI outputs—and where they are not

  • Why corporate content is often underutilised, including structural and accessibility challenges in investor materials

  • The growing reliance on third-party sources (e.g. wires, media, aggregators), and the risk of outdated or less authoritative information shaping narratives

  • Analysis of AI search outputs for FTSE 100 and 250 companies, including what proportion of sources come from company-owned channels versus external sources

  • Which types of media (business, financial, trade, investment) most influence AI-generated responses, and how this varies by model and query type

All investors now use AI everyday in some form, an estimated 70% of retail investors use AI tools to research companies and institutional investors are increasingly integrating AI into research and screening, large language models are becoming a key intermediary in the investment process. However, their processes remain opaque, often surfacing inconsistent information and underutilising corporate-owned content, creating both risk and opportunity for listed businesses. This session will provide a timely opportunity for senior IR and communications leaders to better understand the evolving AI landscape and take practical steps to ensure their company’s narrative is accurately represented in an increasingly AI-driven world.

Places are limited, so if you would like to attend the event, please RSVP as soon as possible to events@cdrconsultancy.com. There will be members from the Society's AI working group and Executive team in attendance.
