This roundtable is designed for experienced Investor Relations professionals seeking insight into the career paths of senior leaders who have successfully transitioned into C-suite roles.
This session is intended to be interactive and will explore topics including the skills, experiences and leadership qualities required to move beyond traditional IR roles; how the strategic and commercial insight that IRs bring can be leveraged at executive level, as well as practical advice and guidance on career progression.
Louise has a decade of experience in Investor Relations across multiple sectors and for global companies spanning UK, US and Australian listing regimes. Louise is currently Head of Investor Relations at Johnson Matthey, having joined as Senior Investor Relations Manager in 2018. Previously she was Investor Relations Manager at Janus Henderson – formerly Henderson – where she was involved in the communication of a transformational, cross-border merger of equals. Prior to this, Louise worked for a strategy consultancy having initially qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG. Louise completed her MChem in Chemistry at the University of Oxford.
Kate is a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer having held roles in both public and private companies including the McLaren Group, Dixons Carphone Plc and TalkTalk Plc. In addition to her financial acumen, Kate has extensive experience driving business transformation and strategic development and a deep understanding of public markets. She has particular expertise in the retail sector, as well as an excellent understanding of the luxury industry. In her early career, Kate was involved in numerous IPOs including that of Burberry in 2002. Kate is a Chartered Accountant and sits on the British Olympic Foundation and is also a Governor for Wellington College.
