About our Committees
Committees play a vital role in membership organisations across both strategy and operations by providing specialised expertise to guide decision‑making in line with the overall organisational strategy.
They enhance member engagement by representing member interests, supporting recruitment, and creating opportunities for collaboration and networking.
Our committees contribute to core activities such as event planning, professional development and member services and help keep the organisation focused on achieving its mission.
Working Groups
Our working groups are a recent initiative born from a requirement to produce defined outputs within a short timeframe on specific topics that are of particular importance to the IR community at this time.
They are informal, collaborative groups, made up of experts from across the membership with specialised knowledge in the relevant areas, and will be more hands-on in producing content, running events and contributing to the Society's guidelines on their areas of expertise.
The Society is extremely grateful for the commitment and dedication that these groups have demonstrated in producing cutting edge content for the benefit of the whole membership.
