About the job:
This newly created role is a great opportunity to be part of a small team where you’ll work alongside an experienced Head of IR, being supported to learn and develop. At the same time you’ll have accountability and the autonomy to grab opportunities and build an exciting role that is both personally fulfilling and adds value to Diploma.

As part of a small, high-profile team you will support the development and execution of a broad investor relations (IR) and external communications strategy aimed at strengthening the Group’s reputation and enhancing its equity story.

About you:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, confident with a senior audience and able to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong work ethic, takes initiative and able to deliver high-quality work under pressure with tight and competing deadlines
  • Good business and financial literacy; curious about our business, and the people and stories that bring it to life
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

 Key responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Effective IR programme: supporting all areas of investor engagement (including management and optimisation of the investor CRM platform, targeting, screening, preparation of briefing notes); support engagement with sellside analysts (including consensus management); monitor IR best practice, regulation and peer group activity
  • Financial calendar & events: manage financial calendar and capital market events including annual results, earnings calls – from strategic input to overseeing all logistical elements
  • External materials & reporting: drafting of investor presentations, earnings releases, scripts, Q&A documents; project management, coordination across corporate functions and core content creation including Annual Report & Sustainability
  • Corporate narrative: Create and manage a content calendar that tells the Diploma story across all channels, including LinkedIn, website and video
  • Website management: Day-to-day responsibility for the corporate website ensuring timeliness and accuracy; and managing website upgrades and projects
  • Production: creation of assets, including coordinating video and photography shoots, and basic design and editing of images and video

Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in in-house investor relations / corporate communications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex financial information into clear and compelling narratives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with investor relations platforms and reporting tools
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and internationally
  • Experience managing and briefing external agencies

Advantageous but not essential:

  • Experience in media and PR
