The IR Society and NEVIR announce a new collaboration on IR training and certification.

The UK Investor Relations Society (IR Society) and The Netherlands Association for Investor Relations (NEVIR) are delighted to announce a collaboration offering NEVIR members access to The IR Society’s extensive professional development courses and the Certificate in Investor Relations (CIR) qualification. These courses cater for all levels of IR professionals, from new to senior IRO’s.

Gary Davies, CEO of the IR Society, stated, “We are delighted to be collaborating with NEVIR to deliver our professional development courses and certification programme to their members.  Launched over 10 years ago, the CIR has become the benchmark for the IR profession, recognised in the UK and in other international markets as the best way to demonstrate competency in investor relations.  We already have collaborations with associations in the Middle East, Asia, Latin America and Europe. We are delighted to be able to offer the programme to NEVIR’s members”.

Joris Wilton, NEVIR board member, also commented, “Our mission as NEVIR is to back members in facilitating these firms’ access to the Dutch and international capital markets. NEVIR seeks to represent and support members in all aspects of professional investor relations. Education and knowledge transfer has always been one of the key pillars of our association and therefore we are excited to have found such a reputable partner to offer NEVIR members access to professional development courses and qualifications at favourable member prices.”

Mirjam Veenhof, IR Manager at AkzoNobel, who recently attended a course at the IR Society, also commented, “The ‘Introduction to IR and the Financial Markets’ course given by Deborah Morton-Dare and Gary Davies provided very useful insights for me as a professional who is new to the field of Investor Relations. We touched upon a wide range of topics, painting a complete picture by the end of the day all accompanied by good examples from the extensive experience they both have. Also, the size of the group was quite small, which was good because it allowed for enough room for conversation and questions. It was a nice opportunity to get to know other IR professionals, or colleagues/peers who want to learn more about the playing field of IR and the Financial Markets. I'd highly recommend this one-day deep dive!”
