His extensive investor network spans the UK, Europe and the US, and his core skillset lies in communicating complex and evolving messages to the investment community. At CEN Group, Chris’s transaction experience includes leading the IR functions at Melrose and Just Eat, as well as IPOSs, demergers, fund raises and Capital Markets Events. Before joining GAM Investments in May 2025, he spent seven years managing European equity funds at Janus Henderson Investors. Prior to this, he spent eight years as a sell side equity research analyst covering the metals and mining sector. He began his career in the treasury of Northern Rock plc. He received his BA degree (Hons) in economics from Newcastle University. He is passionate about the role of emerging technologies in shaping active investing and was an early investor in Quartr, a Swedish fintech platform, where he continues to serve as a non-executive adviser.

Ross has had a 30+yr City career, working in investment banking and hedge funds before moving into IR in 2009, where he has worked at a variety of FTSE100 and FTSE250 companies, including undertaking a NASDAQ IPO. Ross is currently Head of IR for FTSE250 ZIGUP plc which has won both UK and European mid-cap website awards, and which launched the FTSE's first website-based AI search tool in 2024. He has led AI for IRO-focused seminars on the IR Society DELIVER programme and been on a number of AI panels, including for LSE and IR Impact magazine conferences. Ross was a Board member of the IR Society 2014-25 and Deputy Chair 2023-25 and co-chairs the Policy Committee.  He is a member of the AI Working Group, as well as being a NED on technology consultancy, BlueHat Associates.
