IR Masterclass: Capital Market Days

A Capital Markets Day can be one of the most impactful events that an Investor Relations team can hold. A successful CMD can positively impact the financial market’s view of your investment case, can drive share price momentum, and can enhance the credibility of your management. However, it can also be an expensive and very time-consuming project for an IR team, and even has the potential to be value destructive and damage your company’s reputation if not properly planned or poorly executed.

This masterclass will be beneficial to both experienced in-house practitioners looking to share best practice, as well as less experienced IROs looking to understand the options available. This interactive in-person event will cover some of the most critical elements of Capital Markets Days that IR teams need to consider and will leave you with some practical tips. The roundtable discussion format will also provide you with lots of opportunities to share thoughts and network with your peers.

Topics that will be covered:
• Content and Messaging – what’s your goal, and how to craft compelling narrative to engage investors and analysts
• Formats – tips and best practice for optimising your event format, tailored to your engagement goals
• Analyst and investor views – what does the buyside and sellside really want (or not want)?
• Strategic planning - Logistics, communications, and internal liaison

Agenda

08:30 - Registration, networking and breakfast

09:00 - Welcome and introductions

09:15 - Roundtable discussions

10:45 - Thank you and close

Networking until 11:00
