AGM update from David Walker, Chair of the IR Society

In late June as usual we held our AGM, albeit in a very different format given the constraints placed on physical meetings. I’m sure many of you have had similar experiences with your own company AGMs and results – it’ll be really interesting to see how the format of these events changes post-COVID. Beyond this, and over a longer period, the need for companies to consider retail investors alongside their institutional holders has become increasingly important and many of the reasons for this were highlighted during the webinar, along with practical advice for how to effectively integrate a programme for retail investor engagement into the IR calendar.
