Emperor is B Corp Certified

At Emperor, we believe in doing business the right way – and our long-term commitment to responsible practice means that it’s part of our identity. We’re joining a growing group of companies who, like us, believe the power of business should be used to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.

Since Emperor was founded in 1996, we’ve always pushed ourselves to operate responsibly – it’s a core principle of the way we work. And we’re looking forward to continuous improvement as part of the B Corp community. This is not our final destination on that journey.

To achieve B Corp Certification, we’ve met rigorous governance, social and environmental standards, which represent our commitment to goals outside of profit. We have provided evidence of responsible business practices across a number of areas, for example relating to our employee ownership business model and our pledges, which are commitments to partners, community and the environment.

We’ve achieved a B Corp impact assessment score of 113.4 - the median score for ordinary businesses that complete the assessment is 50.9 and a score of 80+ is required.

B Corp Certification proves our genuine commitment to people and the planet, which is firmly embedded into our teams and our culture. By working to these principles every day, we are able to lead by example – this is a huge benefit to our clients who are embarking on their own responsible business journeys.

Highlights of our responsible business journey so far include: our employee-owned business model; extensive career development and training opportunities for our people; giving back through charitable and pro-bono work, as well as apprenticeship schemes; an environmental programme and science based targets; and our transparent governance, supported by an annual report and guided by our partner board.
