Robert Pickering announced as a keynote speaker

We are delighted to announce our next keynote speaker will be Robert Pickering, former CEO at Cazenove, in converstion with Evan Davis.

Robert Pickering began his career at Allen & Overy before joining Cazenove & Co. in 1985. He became the firm’s first Chief Executive in 2001, aged just 41, and was responsible for building Cazenove’s financial advisory practice, conceiving and executing its transformation from a stockbroking partnership into a leading investment bank. In 2004, he negotiated and led its highly successful joint venture with J.P.Morgan, leaving the firm in 2008. The story of Robert’s time at Cazenove was related in his best-selling book Blue Blood, Cazenove in the age of Global Banking which was published last year. Since 2008 Robert has acted as an adviser to private individuals and boards, specialising in financial services. He is currently Board Chair at Marex Group plc, the diversified financial services platform [which listed on NASDAQ in May of this year].
