The IR Society and ARIR announce a new collaboration on IR training and certification

The UK Investor Relations Society (IR Society) and the Romanian Investor Relations Association (ARIR) are delighted to announce an exclusive collaboration.

Romanian IR professionals have now access to IR Society’s courses and can obtain a Certificate in Investor Relations (CIR) from a leading global provider. The CIR is an internationally-recognised qualification for the investor relations profession. It is a comprehensive, stretching test of the competency in IR, providing the tools to help candidates develop their career in the profession.

Gary Davies, CEO of the IR Society, stated, “We are delighted to be collaborating with Daniela Șerban and the team at ARIR to offer our extensive range of professional development courses and our certification programme. Launched over 10 years ago, the CIR has become the benchmark for the IR profession, recognised in the UK and in other international markets as the best way to demonstrate competency in investor relations.  We already have collaborations with associations in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Latin America and we are delighted to be able to offer the programme for ARIR’s members.”

Daniela Șerban, ARIR President, also commented, “Part of our mission at ARIR is to offer our members a platform for professional development of the Investor Relations (IR) professionals. IR Society has guided us in the process of setting up the Romanian Investor Relations Association and with this new collaboration we add an esential pillar in implementing best practices in Romania. Interested professionals are invited to join the programme, which comprises of a self-study course and an exam in Bucharest. The topics covered in the course refer to Principles of Investor Relations, Financial Markets, Companies and Regulation, Regulatory Environment, Accounting Valuation and Investment Principles, Effective IR in practice, ensuring a broad understanding of the key elements of the IR field and financial markets, as well as capturing the essential elements of best practices in international markets.
